I’ll say it, although needlessly: “Death and the People” is about humanity’s attitude towards death. That’s the subject matter. You may not feel super surprised to read this, but some people can feel awfully terrible at the mere thought of death. Indeed, a lot has been said about death – mostly bad stuff.
